Whats on at the Velodrome March / April /May 2010
The Velodrome will be available for hire from the 3rd of April 2010 subject to anti moss treatment and joinery work being completed. **Weather permitting **
The regular weekly events that take place are <As far as I am aware > as follows :
Monday Available for open training.
Tuesday Meadowbank National Track League.
Wednesday Available for open training.
Thursday Fast kids and girls running in an open training session.
Friday Edinburgh RC Juniors drop in running in an open training session.
Saturday Available for open training.
**There will be no Racers Kids club drop in sessions this season.**
Sunday Available for open training.
Velodrome prices for 2010
Special event (min. 3hrs) £45.50 per hour
Extended Let Track League £42.00 per hour
Velodrome Training per hour £ 53.30
Open Training Adults £4.20 (peak times, no card)
Open Training Adults £3.10 (card holder)
Open Training for 60+ £ 1.80 with concession + card
Open Training Juniors £ 1.80 with concession + card
Please note there are access restrictions on the road to the velodrome site
( a big bollard! ) and there will be “revenue protection” measures in place so expect to pay for every rider in every session( as usual)
Velodrome keys to allow access to bike storage will only be given out to designated individuals with prior approval from the centre and with a photo ID card that matches the list in the centre.
A rider accreditation programme will be implemented during 2010 to ensure that riders who use the velodrome in open training sessions have had sufficient instruction , training and observed performance in structured sessions to ensure that they are “track safe” before being allowed to use the track out with coach led sessions or competition.
This will be done by ESCA , Meadowbank TL and local coaches and instructors/ officials.
